How To Cut A 3d Model In Half. The formula is pretty simple for this. This is how i do it works well.
Select cut to select your choice. Open the stl in windows 3d builder. First sink the model that distance into the bed then rotate 180 degrees remember this is rotation around the bottom of the model and no the center and raise the model up another half of the total height.
Take the total height and divide by two.
Position the cutting plane using the rotation gyroscope. You can rotate the cutting plane at any angle along the three axes and move it to cut at the desired position. A plane will appear. Select the split action from the edit menu.
